Our gin is produced at one of the few remaining distilleries in London by a Master Distiller whose family family business is still thriving after 300 years. They use small batch stills to guarantee the highest quality and produce our gin in the traditional London Dry Gin Style. Only the best ingredients are used in Mayfair Gin such as a hand picked botanicals including juniper berries, coriander seed, angelica root and orris producing an incredibly flavoursome and spicy taste.
“High Tea”, indeed. Rarely has tea been elevated to such heights. rich in bergamot oil, Earl Grey tea is introduced into the juniper-rich distillation process – along with rose petals – to create a gin as British as it is possible to be. The bergamot oil adds a velvety mouth-feel. Coriander and angelica bring, respectively, citrus and liquorice, and white tea leaves contribute texture. With the whole ensemble bound together by the rose.
Six PM is named after that eagerly anticipated daily watershed: “International drinking time”. 100 British proof or 57.6%, the gin is able to resist being overwhelmed by tonic and other mixers. It can flaunt its attributes regardless of what it is paired with. As you might expect, this gin contains plenty of glorious, full-bodied juniper. To rein in the resulting sweetness of that, we’ve used orris. Coriander imparts a hefty slap of citrus. Angelica bestows hints of liquorice. And the final of the five ingredients? Delicious winter savoury herb.
Our vodka is produced at one of the few remaining distilleries in London by a Master Distiller whose family family business is still thriving after 300 years. For perfection, we use both column still and pot distillation methods to produce Mayfair Vodka. First, using UK grown grain, we distill the spirit six times in column stills, producing an exceptionally clean vodka. Then, we take a portion of this spirit and distill it again in pot stills to soften the spirit providing a smooth, well balanced finish.
