Mayfair Brands supports the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust by sponsoring Annual Ball

ST ANDREWS 1st December 2021 – St Andrews held its 14th Annual Welly Ball on Saturday 6th of November 2021, where it opened its doors to over 2000 students from across the UK, who raised a record £30,000 to support the mental health and wellbeing charity.

Mayfair Brands was delighted to be announced as the Welcome Drinks sponsor, and to help raise money for the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust. Before the after-party commenced, 860 guests arrived at the Kinkell Byre venue in their finery and wellington boots, where they received the iconic Mayfair Brands Gin and Tonic.

Welly Ball’s Head of Sponsorship, Carolina McCormick, commented on the sponsorship saying that “The Mayfair Brand welcome drinks were the perfect way to start the evening! The Welly Committee worked with Mayfair Brands to make sure that elegance was given when guests arrived. The entire committee and our charitable partners are so grateful for the support of Mayfair Brands and the amazing welcome drinks would not have been possible without them!”

With the Welly Ball being the largest social event in the St Andrews calendar, Mayfair Brand’s Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Bronwyn Gall, welcomed the opportunity and said that “it was an honour to be considered as a sponsor for the Welly Ball. At Mayfair Brands, we believe it is important to support individuals and organisations, especially during these times, and to help combat the stigma of mental health. The Welly Ball committee, again, organised a terrific event which we were very grateful to be a part of.”

The event saw guests and organisers dance the night away, in their black-tie outfits and wellington boots. With the success of the event, Mayfair Brands looks forward to supporting the Welly Ball and charity in the future.
